Why Recycle? 

Computer/Monitors and Electronic Equipment may contain components that are classified as "hazardous waste". 

Any products containing hazardous material must be disposed of and dismantled properly. Improper disposal can result in fines and/or environmental cleanup liability under Federal and State laws.

Some examples of materials processed here at Environ are:

  • Computer Equipment - PC's, Monitors, CPU's, Mainframes, Switches, Wiring, Printers, Auxiliary Equipment, Scanners, Readers, Circuit Boards.
  • Electronic -  VCRs, Stereos, Telephones, Copiers, Faxes, Telephone/Systems, Cash Registers.
  • CRT's
  • Laboratory/Medical Equipment - All types
Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTís) which are used widely in Televisions, Computer Monitors, and various other equipment, contains 10 ñ 20% of lead. Computers also have hazardous materials in them, including lead solder and typically a Lithium battery.

What becomes of it?
