FIRE AND WATER DAMAGE RESTORATION

Call the fire department first, then call us for immediate response to a fire. We can evaluate hazardous materials, salvage personal items, board up windows/doors, and start the cleanup work. Call 207-828-1300 for further information or for a competitive quote. We have performed restoration work for insurance companies, insurance adjusters, building managers, contractors and others over a decade with excellent record and reputation. We are highly recommended by governmental agencies, consultants, architects, building managers and many other clients. We have emergency crews available for asbestos work, fire damage, water damage and more.

ASBESTOS IN DEMOLITION PROJECTS

Demolition activities may be the greatest single source of asbestos exposure to trades people working on the project, the general public, and the environment. Demolition activities, whether complete or partial, of any building require proper inspection, notification and removal procedures.

BEFORE BEGINNING A DEMOLITION PROJECT:

  • Have a DEP-licensed company inspect the building (or area) for asbestos; and
  • Have the building owner (or operator) notify the DEP and EPA 10-days prior to the demolition even if no asbestos is identified (forms available from Environ).
  • If asbestos is identified in any part of the building slated for demolition, be sure to have a DEP-licensed contractor properly remove and dispose of the asbestos discovered during the inspection.
  • Please note: OSHA regulates asbestos anytime an employer/employee relationship exists. OSHA worker protection rules exist and must be followed for abatement activities. Contact the local OSHA office with questions (in Portland at 780-3178, or in Bangor at 941-8177).
