Why Recycle?

Mercury contaminated manufactured articles (MCMA) that are generated by households and commercial and industrial facilities are in most cases considered hazardous waste and must be managed properly. Commonly known MCMA wastes include mercury relays, thermometers, thermostats, manometers, spill kit material, amalgams, PPE, mercury batteries, rags, filters, debris/dirt, vacuum cleaners, gas pressure regulators, flow meters, ignitron tubes, and mercury rectifiers.

Recycling can reduce the risk of future financial liability associated with Superfund. Reclamation of usable materials from MCMA waste is an economical and environmentally sound decision.
